ACTIVITIES
Our refuge provides both indoor and outdoor spaces suitable for different activities.
A spacious hall equipped with a projector and sound system, along with a large outdoor terrace, makes it easy to organize educational or recreational events.
The well-marked trails and signs allow for independent hikes and activities, but there are plenty of other opportunities as well!

ALPINISM AND HIKING WITH MOUNTAIN GUIDES
The refuge works with local alpine guides to organize climbing courses, snow ascents, and classic climbs along the many routes of Marguareis.

VISITS TO THE BOTANICAL STATIONS
The Alpine Botanical Stations Bicknell and Danilo Re, located in the Marguareis Natural Park, are dedicated to the conservation and study of the alpine environment.
The Bicknell Station, near the refuge, hosts rare plant species from the Ligurian Alps. It can be visited independently or through guided tours, offering a unique opportunity to learn about mountain flora.
The Danilo Re Station, dedicated to a park ranger who passed away prematurely, is exclusively reserved for environmental studies and is not open to the public. It plays a key role in monitoring the alpine ecosystem.

YOUTH ALPINISM
The refuge offers a variety of trails with different levels of difficulty and length, perfect for first experiences in the mountains. Its modern structure, while preserving the charm of a traditional mountain refuge, is ideal for discovering mountain life and fostering camaraderie and teamwork.
Our ongoing collaboration with the park provides plenty of educational opportunities with park rangers, nature guides, and alpine instructors—perfect for youth alpinism groups, school classes, and young adventurers of all ages!

ALPINE HORSEBACK RIDING
Near the refuge, there is a stable with two stalls. The presence of pack-animal-friendly trails and various riding stables in the valley makes our refuge a great stop for horseback trekking.
You can find references to the main facilities in the links section.
